The X Factor

Game objective

The X Factor is a five-reel, nine-payline slot game with a 'feature' that gives you the chance to win extra prizes. The game also features a substitute Fame symbol. The Fame symbol substitutes for all other symbols except the scattered X Factor symbol.

Game information

The game and the game rules are identical in the Play Money and Real Money modes.
The minimum bet amount is £0.01 GBP and the maximum bet amount is £90.00 GBP.
You can bet on up to nine lines.

How to play

Setting 'LINES': When you enter the game, nine lines are selected by default. You can decrease or increase the number of lines by clicking on the Left arrow button or Right arrow button below the text 'TOTAL LINES'.
Setting 'BETS': When you enter the game, a default bet of £0.25 per payline is set for all nine lines, resulting in a total bet of £2.25. You can choose to increase or decrease the bet per line by clicking on the left arrow button or right arrow button under 'BET'. If your game balance is less than £2.25, the system will automatically decrease the default bet to the next highest possible amount.
Your total bet is determined by multiplying the number of lines by the bet per line and is displayed under 'TOTAL BET' at bottom left corner of the game screen.
View Rules/Paytable: The Rules and Paytable can be accessed by clicking on the 'HELP' button at the bottom-left corner of the game screen. The first page shows instructions on how to play the game. You can navigate to the Paytable screen by clicking on the 'PAYTABLE' button on this Rules page. All prizes displayed on the Paytable are multiplied by bet per line, except for the scattered X Factor symbol, which is multiplied by the total bet. You can go back to the game by clicking on the 'GAME' button.
Spin: After the reels stop spinning, any winning combinations on the selected lines or any scatter wins will be paid according to the Paytable.
Result: Wins are indicated by winning lines shown on the screen (except for the scattered X Factor symbol), and the winning symbols animating. Total win amount is shown at the bottom of the screen. Individual wins for each line are shown to the right of the reels at the end of each winning line.
Feature Game: A feature is triggered when three or more scattered X Factor symbols appear anywhere on the visible reels. The game screen will change and the feature game screen will open up. On completion of the feature game, the main game screen is restored.
Repeat Bet/Change Bet: If you have already bet, the settings selected will be automatically carried over to the subsequent spin provided you have sufficient credit. Simply click on 'SPIN' button to play with the same bet again. To change the bet or the lines, click on left-arrow button or right-arrow button available in the BET and TOTAL LINES area
Credits: This reflects your remaining game balance minus the amount shown under Total Bet.
Game Balance: Your current game balance is the sum of the amounts shown under the 'CREDIT' meter and the 'TOTAL BET' meter.
Click on 'GAME LOGS' to view the logs of your completed games.
Click on 'VERSION' to view the current version number of the game.
Click on 'REBUY' to buy more credits in to the game from ITV play account.
Click on 'EXIT GAME' to leave the game and return to the lobby.

'AUTOSPIN' - You can make use of this feature to choose all/any amongst the various options for 'hands free' game play. Options available under this feature are:

No. of spins: Will spin for the number of spins selected from the drop-down.
Spin till win is equal or exceeds: Will spin till the win amount is equal to or exceeds the amount selected from the drop down.
Spin till any win: Will spin till the next win.
Spin till feature trigger or bonus round: Will spin till the next feature or bonus round is triggered.
Spin till my balance exceeds: Spins until the balance is greater than or equal to the amount entered. Note that 'balance' implies the sum of amount under ‘CREDITS’ and the amount under ‘BET’.
Spin till my balance falls below: Spins until the balance is less than or equal to the amount entered. Note that 'balance' implies the sum of amount under ‘CREDITS’ and the amount under ‘BET’.
Play faster: Will let you play faster than usual by reducing the break time. You must choose at least one of the above mentioned options before selecting the ‘PLAY GAMES’ option.

To make use of the ’AUTOSPIN’ feature, click on the ‘AUTOSPIN’ button available at the bottom right of the game screen. On the screen that opens up, select the checkboxes against the option/s of your choice. Select from the drop-down menu where ever applicable. If your current Game balance is not sufficient to support your choice of option/s, the ‘BUY-IN’ Window pops up allowing you to buy-in more credits from your Party Account. Click on ‘START’ to activate the selected options and start the spins. Similarly, click on ‘CANCEL’ to skip the 'AUTOSPIN' feature and get back to the game screen.

In case you select multiple options/conditions, the condition that is satisfied first takes precedence over the others and the remaining selected conditions get disabled. You can then choose to either select the same set of options again or opt for new option/s and proceed with the game.

Please note: The ’AUTOSPIN’ option is not available in play money mode.

Game rules

All symbols pay left to right on the selected paylines except the scattered X Factor symbol, which pays anywhere.
Only the highest win is paid on each payline.
Wins on different paylines are added.
Line wins are multiplied by the amount bet per line.
Scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet.
Scatter wins are added to payline wins.
The Fame symbol substitutes for all other symbols, except the scattered X Factor symbol.

Feature game play

The bonus feature is triggered when three or more scattered X Factor symbols appear anywhere on the reels.
The main game screen will change and the feature game screen will open up. Three magazines are displayed. Click on the magazines to open them and reveal your prizes.
Click anywhere on the feature screen to restore the main game screen.
Feature prizes are added to payline and scatter wins.
Wins are transferred to the credit meter at the end of the base game, and at the end of the feature.

Paytable

Adding funds to your ITV Play Account

To add funds to your ITV play account, click on 'DEPOSIT' in the 'Cashier' menu, then select the desired deposit option. You can also add funds to your account by clicking on 'REBUY' while in the game screen and then clicking on 'CASHIER', or by clicking on 'DEPOSIT' or 'BALANCE' in the 'My Account' section in the left panel of the Main Lobby. The time taken to transfer funds and the fees charged will vary depending on which deposit option you choose. Funds can only be added at the beginning of a new game.

What do I do if I reach my betting limits?

If your game balance drops below the minimum bet you are trying to place, you will have to click on 'REBUY' to buy in credits from your ITV play account.

To add funds to your ITV play account, click on the 'DEPOSIT' option in the 'Cashier' menu in the Main Lobby, or click the 'CASHIER' button in the 'Buy-in' window of any game. You can also click on the 'DEPOSIT' button or on 'BALANCE' in the 'My Account' section of the left panel in the Main Lobby.

I could not complete the game. What should I do?

If you get disconnected in the middle of the base game, the software will automatically complete play for you. You will be able to find out the result by clicking on the 'Game Logs' button once you have logged back in. You can also find out the result from your ITV play account balance. If you are still having problems, please contact our 24/7 Customer Care team.

If you are disconnected in the middle of the feature round, you will be prompted to complete it after logging back in. After completing the feature round, you can resume playing the same base game, or you can select another game of your choice.
